Anatomy
All Arcanights follow these guidelines, although Court Arcanights and Major Arcanights have traits specific to those rarities.
They are the same size as humans and vary similarly in body shape and gender expression.
They are the same size as humans and vary similarly in body shape and gender expression.
- Basics - Arcanights have the same range of skintones as humans, although their eyes and hair can be any color. They have pointed, elf-like ears.
- Metal - Arcanights have a number of metal parts: their horns, their tails, their wings, and the soles of their feet. All metal on an Arcanight’s body matches, and only in natural metal colors. (So no bright pinks or anything like that).
- Wings - Arcanights’ wings are always in the shape of feathered wings. They are made of a metallic substance, but unlike their horns the wings are flexible and can move freely. The wings connect to their body on the Arcanight’s lower back. The number of wings is determined by the rarity of the Arcanight.
- Tail - Arcanights each have one tail, which is made of a flexible metal material similar to the wings. The shape of the tails can vary, but they are often reminiscent of clock hands and similar metal ornaments. The rarer an Arcanight type is, the more likely they are to have a particularly ornate tail.
- Legs & Feet - Arcanights do not have ankles, and their feet are not defined as such. Their legs end in something like a nub, and the soles of their ‘feet’ are metal. Arcanights usually float, but could walk on their feet if desired. When they disguise themselves as humans they give themselves conventional human feet.
Arcanights often have 'stockings', which can start anywhere on the leg but always extend to the foot. The stockings can be any color or pattern.
Horns - All Arcanights have a pair of horns. The horns are made of a magical metal substance, and can have splits similar to antlers. For Minor and Court Arcanights, the shape of the horns depends on the suit the Arcanight is associated with. While the general shape remains constant, an Arcanight's horns may vary slightly in size and placement.
The horns of Major Arcanights are not bound by strict rules -- they may have three or more horns, and have a much wider variety in shape. |
